Hello Kitty Island Adventure offers two-player co-op gameplay with several features and restrictions. Here's what you need to know:

Requirements to Play Co-op:

• Host must complete the "Friends From Afar" quest from Keroppi (after "Power Up the Gates" and "Open the Nature Preserve" quests)[1][3]
• Both players need to be on the same platform, as there's no cross-platform play
• Both players must have the same version of the game[3]

How to Connect:

• Open the in-game phone and select the purple Multiplayer app
• Host generates a 7-character code that refreshes every 5 minutes
• Guest enters the code to join[1]
• Steam players can directly invite friends from their Steam friends list[2]

Co-op Activities:

• Complete story quests (host's quests only)
• Shop at stores
• Cook in Hello Kitty's kitchen
• Fish and catch bugs
• Complete agility courses
• Take selfies together

Limitations:

• Only one guest allowed at a time
• Guests cannot give gifts to island characters
• Resources aren't shared until reaching friendship level 15
